Description
Crisis stabilization services are mental health services, provided after crisis intervention, to help the recipient return to his/her functioning to the level it was before the crisis.
A crisis assessment and intervention treatment plan are provided to the individual upon arrival at the residential crisis stabilization facility.
Length of stay ranges anywhere from 1 - 10 days.

Eligibility
Recipients must:
* Need residential crisis stabilization services to avoid hospitalization and return to pre-crisis level of function
* Be assessed by a mental health crisis team, an Emergency Department physician or a mental health professional and determined to need this level of care
Application Instructions
Authorization is not required for crisis assessment, stabilization and intervention, but is needed if the stay exceeds the maximum threshold of 10 days in a calendar month.
Fees
* Most Health Insurance plans, Medical Assistance and other forms of third party payments are accepted.
* Residents of Cottonwood, Jackson, Nobles, Rock, or Pipestone counties who do not have insurance may be eligible for adjusted fees based on family size and income.
