Eligibility
Income guidelines:
* Individuals making $35,000 or less per year
* Families making $55,000 or less per year
* Self-employed (with no employees) and make more than $6,000 of self-employment income but less than $55,000 per year
They can't help you if you have income from driving a cab, rental income, or filed bankruptcy in the tax year you wish to file. There are also other, less common situations that may apply.
